Acting on behalf of South Staffordshire College, Kingston CPC – based in Lichfield – has successfully marketed and sold the former college building at Progress Centre on Walsall Road in Cannock.

The building – which was constructed in 2002 – offered purpose built teaching, vehicle workshop  and ancillary space, which could be altered to accommodate a range of other uses. The principal building provided a floor area of  30,139 sq ft and benefitted from a parking area for 150 cars. In addition the rear 1.58 acres of the site were substantially undeveloped and offered the potential for the creation of some new employment space.

The property was on the market at offers based on  £2.5 million and has been sold to a local owner/occupier.

Andrew Buckman of Kingston commented “we were delighted to obtain the instructions to act for the College. This is a unique modern building with some development potential on the surplus land, and as such we were marketing to a fairly wide audience in terms of the potential future uses.”
